3918th Air Installations Squadron
"I was stationed at UH from 1951 to 1953. My outfit was called A.I.O. I was a carpenter. I was in charge of the carpenter shop till someone with more rank was put in charge. We built just about every thing on the base that needed to be built. I got there before SAC came.

We even built the Officer's Club Bar. Near the end of my tour at UH I was a building inspector. I had breakfast with the new commander's wife and mother a few times. They were great people."
